PREZ SEZ
Greetings once again GSMR/LDC Club Members;
We have now surpassed six months of the Chinese Virus Lock Down! Nine months ago who would have thought such an event was possible here in America. Your car club has struggled to keep our traditions going, Car Tours, Club Meetings etc. So far we have done quite well, thanks to our Board of Directors and many club members! Since June we have had four consecutive monthly meetings counting this past Sept. 15th meeting. Thanks to those of you who have supported these meetings, your attendance has been encouraging!
In keeping with our traditions, we are going to have our Annual Picnic on October 3rd. at Harmon Field, Tryon, NC. Instead of the usual Pot Luck format we are asking everyone to bring their own picnic lunch, drinks & utensils, chairs if you wish to sit outside. The shelter will be open for indoor eating and restrooms will be open. We ask that you arrive around 11:00 AM for Social Hour, wear your mask and keep your six feet of distance when possible. Those of you coming from Hendersonville will meet at Ingles on Upward Rd. & Rt.# 176 at 10:15 AM, leave Ingles at 10:30 for Tryon.
Many of you have heard the definition of “Mixed Emotions”, that’s when your Mother-In-Law goes over a cliff in your new Cadillac! Well I have mixed emotions and sadness to have to say goodbye to our long time club members Ray & Jeanne Robertson. They have gotten tired of us and are moving to Florida, (just kidding). They have been a real blessing to our club for many, many years, Ray serving as President of our club and Jeanne serving as Chair of the Annual Picnic events and other jobs as well. They both have been very important to the success of our club and will be missed. They have been a blessing to us and I know they will be a blessing to their new friends in Florida. Hopefully they will be here for our picnic so we can say farewell in person!
God Bless You Jeanne & Ray

“I thought growing old would take longer.”
Mitch is working on his ’53 Jag XK120 roadster. Currently, replacing the leading faces of the front fenders.
